New Septic System Permit

Apply for a permit to install a new onsite sewage disposal (septic) system in the City of Portland. Required for properties not connected to the public sewer system, typically in unincorporated areas or properties where sewer extension is not feasible. Reviewed by the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) under Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR 340-071) and Portland City Code Title 17 (Public Improvements). A site evaluation report by a licensed site evaluator is required before application. DEQ-certified installer required for construction.
