Tax Penalty Waiver Request

Request a waiver of late filing or late payment penalties assessed by the City of Portland Revenue Division. Penalty waivers may be granted for reasonable cause, including circumstances beyond the taxpayer's control such as serious illness, natural disaster, reliance on professional tax advice, or death of the taxpayer or immediate family member. First-time penalty waivers may also be available for taxpayers with a clean compliance history.
