Tax Refund Request

Request a refund of overpaid Portland taxes from the Revenue Division. Refunds may be requested for duplicate payments, amended returns resulting in lower tax liability, newly claimed exemptions, or other overpayment circumstances. Refund requests must be filed within three years of the original payment date or the due date of the return, whichever is later. This form covers refunds for the Portland Business License Tax, Multnomah County Business Income Tax (MCBIT), Multnomah County Preschool for All (PFA), Metro Supportive Housing Services (SHS), Arts Tax, and other Portland-administered taxes.
