Street Tree Pruning Permit

Apply for a permit to prune a street tree in Portland under Title 11 — Trees. Street trees are located in the public right-of-way (planting strip between the sidewalk and curb) and are public property managed by Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry. A permit is required before any pruning of a street tree. Property owners are responsible for maintaining clearance over sidewalks and streets, but all pruning must be approved by Urban Forestry.
